The Scarisbrick (or Eccleston) Chapel --- One of two chapels build onto Ormskirk Church, to the east of the south aisle. Over the chapel is The Scarisbrick Gallery, which contains a mural marble monument to the memory of Robert Scarisbrick, Esq., erected by his widow, Anna Scarisbrick. The chapel is now covered with seats and on the floor of one of the pews, over the vault, is the figure of a knight, cut in brass, attired in armour, with the Scarisbrick ensigns.

The Scarisbrick Estate --- The estate of the Scarisbrick family from 1238 to 1946. Mentioned in the 1877, 1904, and 1924 Acts of Parliament of the United Kingdom, per the Chronological Table of the Private and Personal Acts (1539-2000), on Her Majesty’s Stationery Office website (HMSO.gov.uk).

The Scarisbrick Gallery --- The gallery over the Scarisbrick Chapel, in Ormskirk Church, Ormskirk, Lancashire. There is a mural marble monument in the south-west corner of the gallery, to the memory of Robert Scarisbrick, Esq., erected by his widow, Mrs. Anna Scarisbrick. In the south wall of the gallery there is also a mural panel bearing the Scarisbrick family crest.

Scarisbrick Hall --- A one hundred and fifty room mansion in Scarisbrick, Lancashire, said to have been the residence of the Scarisbrick family for upwards of seven centuries. The style of the present building is Elizabethan Gothic, having been partially rebuilt in the mid 1800s, by Charles Scarisbrick, and his sister, Lady Anne Scarisbrick, from designs by Augustus Welby Pugin. The style of the architecture bears a strong resemblance to the Houses of Parliament, but more elaborately ornamented, many of the figures being knights in armour which, with the handsome 100-foot clock tower, give to the mansion a most magnificent coup-d’-æil. The south, north, and west fronts were erected by Charles Scarisbrick, but the east wing and clock tower were erected, and many of the internal improvements completed, by Lady Scarisbrick, who also built the chapel, on the east side, which is a beautiful structure. The hall was sold by the Scarisbrick family in 1946, and became St. Katherine’s College for women teachers. It was sold again, in 1963, to Charles Oxley, to become an independent school, and it is now Kingswood College. Scarisbrick N.S.C. --- Amateur snooker club, based in Bullens Lane, Scarisbrick, Lancashire. It has five teams (A-E) which compete in the Ormskirk & District Amateur Snooker League. Also a bowls team, playing in Division 1 of the Aughton & District Men’s Senior Citizens’ Bowling League, 2003.
